Dr. Vilches joins Chandler Elementary with a wealth of experience in educational administration. Since 2022, she has served as the principal of Goliad Middle School, where she implemented innovative programs that significantly enhanced student engagement and academic performance. Prior to her tenure at Goliad, Dr. Vilches accumulated over a decade of experience in secondary campus administration, serving as a secondary counselor, assistant principal, and principal. In addition, she spent nearly ten years in the classroom as a dedicated educator.

Dr. Vilches holds a doctorate in Educational Leadership from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi. Her academic background and professional experience make her exceptionally well-qualified to lead Chandler Elementary into a new era of excellence.

Mr. Garet Putska brings 13 years of varied educational experience to his role as Assistant Principal at Chandler Elementary. He joins us from Cuero ISD, where he spent five years as a dedicated Physical Education and Social Studies teacher. Throughout his career, Mr. Putska has worked across all levels of K-12 education, demonstrating a deep commitment to student success and engagement.

Mr. Putska earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise and Sports Science from Texas State University and later pursued a Master’s Degree in Educational Administration from Lamar University. His academic background and hands-on experience in the classroom equip him to effectively support Chandler Elementary's mission and foster strong relationships with faculty, students, and families.
